We are looking for a Data Scientist / Python Engineer to join the team of our client who is a leading e-commerce company in Norway with all the sales going through the website.

We are looking for a Data Scientist / Python Engineer to join the team of our client who is a leading e-commerce company in Norway with all the sales going through the website.

We want you on board, if you have:
- Experience on a similar position (must have)
- Degree in Computer Science
- Experience with Python (pandas, scikit-learn, scipy, numpy) for Data Science and unix-based command line & development tools
- Knowledge of other languages (C++, Java, Scala, Go) - nice to have
- Knowledge of classic machine learning techniques (tree-based models, regressions, Bayesian models, etc.)
- Experience with cloud technology (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Docker, Bitbucket)
- Knowledge of SQL, RESTful API
- Knowledge of version control (e.g. Git)
- Familiarity with distributed big data systems (Spark, Hadoop, Pig, Hive, etc.) and Deep Learning (Tensorflow, Keras, Pytorch etc.) — nice to have
- Very good English skills (B2+)
You will:
- Develop and debug code in python for a pricing tool
- Maintain a standard of high code quality and readability: mypy, flake
- Develop functional and comprehensible tests: pytest
- Comprehend and investigate changes in data during development and debugging Pandas, numpy, sql, and data wrangling packages of any required form
- Attain expertise around the pricing tool, and to utilize this in collaborations:
— designing new features
— provide and receive feedback on pull requests to code
— identify weaknesses, redundancy, bugs etc. and create tickets in Trello for priority backlog
— Provide answers to why code is behaving in a certain manner to stakeholders/diagnose - Deploy new versions of pricing tool in Azure Container Registry
- Operate and monitor Azure Container Instances
- Main priorities: data comprehension, code comprehension, code development, operational stability
- Secondary priorities: Machine learning conceptual discussions, advanced analysis
