Position: Integrations Developer (Workato)

Location: Remote

Start: ASAP / within 1 month / flexible

Contract Type: B2B via Experis

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions to define integration scope, success criteria, data contracts, authorization requirements, and non-functional constraints (throughput, latency, SLA).

• Design and build integrations in Workato following best practices (recipe design, dependency management, observability, error handling).

• Implement API integrations (REST/SOAP), webhooks, and SFTP/batch processes; handle pagination, limits, retries, idempotency, and bulk operations.

• Develop reusable components (recipe functions, callable patterns) and API endpoints in API Platform.

• Extend Workato with custom connectors using Workato Connector SDK (Ruby).

• Ensure reliability and monitoring (RecipeOps, alerts, error handling).

• Promote changes securely across environments (Dev → Test → Prod) using RLCM.

• Document integrations, prepare runbooks, and share knowledge with CSE, Support, and Customer Success teams.

• Continuously improve libraries, patterns, and templates for faster future deployments.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building integrations or automation in SaaS environments (iPaaS or similar).

• Strong experience creating complex integrations in Python.

• Hands-on Workato expertise (recipe design, environment management, packages, promotion processes).

• Solid knowledge of APIs (REST/SOAP), authorization (OAuth 2.0, API keys), webhooks, SFTP/batch, and data formats (JSON/XML/CSV).

• Skilled in error handling and monitoring in Workato (retry, fallback, alerts, RecipeOps).

• Comfortable leading discovery sessions and occasional client demos; strong communication skills.

• Familiarity with Workato version control-friendly processes (export/import, environment strategy).

• Experience with Workato Connector SDK (Ruby).

• Experience with HRIS/Payroll/LMS/ITSM systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, UKG, ServiceNow).
