The duties and responsibilities of the ServiceNow System Administrator & Developer include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Monitor the health, administration, usage, and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications
- The administrator would oversee the day-to-day operations of support and maintenance. They also work with the platforms functioning team to develop new ways to overcome challenges
- Responsible for application support and operational activities, code migrations, replications, patching, and version upgrades
- Responsible for MID server installation, security fixes for application support and debugging of performance issue and operational activities
- They should collaborate with the ServiceNow and Monitoring tools team to create resources for requests and tasks. Workflows can be used to handle a variety of operations from various customers
- They will be able to create and develop a variety of training plans for end-users and modify the platform. Furthermore, this will aid in meeting the organization’s diverse needs
- The platforms administrator must keep a close eye on ServiceNow difficulties, maintenance, and usage, among other things. They should also create a system of integration and automation processes
- They’re also in charge of creating and customizing UI policies, actions, scripts, pages, and business rules, among other things
- They should also assist and manage application upgrades, loading, and data maintenance. This is something that the ServiceNow platform, as well as other systems, should incorporate
- Contribute to ServiceNow software releases through configuration tasks and feature delivery
- Optimize stability and usability of ServiceNow through regular application maintenance
- Knowledge of ServiceNow scripting, AngularJS and JavaScript frameworks
- Managing CMDB health by using Discovery (or equivalent methods) to support Assets and Configuration
- Create and configure Notifications, UI pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, in ServiceNow
- Creates and maintains process and knowledge documentation for team and users
- Support implemented and proposed solutions on the ServiceNow platform
- Load, manipulate, and maintain data between ServiceNow and other systems
- Participate in deployment of features and ServiceNow releases
- Make recommendations and participate in implementing ServiceNow requirements
- Provide architectural controls and impact analysis for new requirements
- Research and stay current in ServiceNow products and applicable integrated technologies
- Collaborate with team members to design the best solutions for technical issues
- Responsible for integrations and e-bondings
- Responsible of end-to-end onboarding/off-boarding of customers
Requirements:
- Excellent management and influencing skills full understanding and ability to lead on all ITIL processes
- ServiceNow CSA certified will be an added advantage
- Able to work independently without significant supervision
- Highly analytical in your approach
- Actively manage application enhancements and fixes
- University Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, business or related field with minimum of 5 years of ServiceNow administration experience
- Work in global teams and support global Cross-Functional environment partnering with internal customers for requirements gathering, analysis and business process definition
