Senior Java Developer (with some Python and AI experience)

The Opportunity: As a Senior Java Developer, you’ll contribute to multiple streams of implementation within insurance-related projects. You’ll work closely with agile team members, analyze business requirements, and transform them into robust technical solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications

• Collaborate with team members to meet project and client goals

• Analyze and translate business requirements into technical designs

• Code, test, debug, and document software solutions

• Provide leadership and mentorship to other developers

  
  

Skills and Attributes for Success:

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java development

• Strong knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and Maven

• Experience with REST and SOAP web services

• Solid SQL skills and familiarity with at least one database engine

• Proficiency with Git

• Python experience

• Strong English communication skills (German or other European languages are a plus)

• Experience working on international projects

  
  

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Science, or a related technical field

• 5+ years in a corporate IT environment in a similar role

• Demonstrable experience with Java, Python, and relevant frameworks

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Experience with AI technologies

  
  

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

• Knowledge of Kafka or RabbitMQ

• Familiarity with Camunda Platform

• Experience with microservices architecture

• Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud services

• Relevant certifications (Java, Spring, SQL, AWS/Azure)
