Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join our dynamic technology team. As a lead engineer, you’ll play a critical role in developing and scaling automation and orchestration capabilities to accelerate business-to-IT delivery across our global technology stack.

Tasks:

1. Design and implement automation solutions for enterprise infrastructure and application environments using CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.
2. Develop and maintain toolkits for configuration management, system provisioning, and environment monitoring using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and other industry-standard automation technologies.
3. Automate and streamline build, test, and deployment pipelines for cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
4. Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with development, QA, operations, and business teams to drive automation initiatives that improve delivery speed, quality, and security.
5. Champion automation best practices and knowledge sharing across IT, acting as an internal consultant and mentor for automation initiatives.
6. Maintain and monitor production and staging environments to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, applying root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
8. Document automation processes and infrastructure workflows, ensuring knowledge transfer and compliance.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
2. 5+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or similar infrastructure automation role.
3. Broad understanding of enterprise infrastructure (systems, cloud, networking basics, security) and how these domains connect to business operations.
4. Strong experience with CI/CD tools and implementing/managing automated pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
5. Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).
6. Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
7. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
8. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog).
9. Understanding of information security and compliance best practices.
10. Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
11. Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work independently and as part of a distributed team.

Preferred:

1. Experience designing or managing automation for large-scale or distributed enterprise environments.
2. Familiarity with cloud networking services, load balancers, or hybrid cloud architectures.
3. Experience with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) or asset/configuration management databases (CMDB).
4. Certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCP, Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes) are a plus.
