Senior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Subject Matter Expert with 5–7 years of experience in delivering and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, particularly in the context of Java applications and microservices. The candidate will play a key role in designing, documenting, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated deployment pipelines while ensuring alignment with DevOps principles and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
• Produce design and documentation of CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure compliance with internal DevOps principles and controls
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex pipeline issues and determine technical solutions
• Remove blockers for developers
• Maintain communication with technical architects and management regarding progress and issues
• Support and execute release implementation activities and other production changes
• Collaborate with the DevOps Lead to manage the pipeline requirements in the DevOps book of work
• Coordinate with Test QAs to apply all quality gates on deliverables
• Own and arrange code reviews with the management team
• Act as a subject matter expert, drive process improvements, and advise management appropriately
• Work with the development team to deliver automated infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with IT PM to create and adhere to a project plan
• Provide support to the IT PM for the ITSA process

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Java application/microservices development and CI/CD delivery
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools: Jenkins, Docker, Git
• Strong experience with Kubernetes (K8S) and Kafka
• Solid command of Linux and shell scripting
• Strong Core Java knowledge including data structures, lambda, stream, JVM, multi-threading
• Familiarity with both cloud-native and traditional technologies:
• Cloud Native: Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, Istio
• Traditional: Bash/Shell, Groovy or Java, Unix/Linux, Jenkins, GitHub
• Experience with relational databases: Oracle, MySQL
• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining distributed containerized platforms is an advantage
• Understanding of software development lifecycle
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Good English skills: written, reading, and spoken
