Senior Data Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Review and document data field definitions, definition ownership, data field ownership, and data flows
• Document required business rules and validate with data owners, often through data working groups with various stakeholders
• For complex data fields, validate through a Data working group with various stakeholder groups to reach agreement
• Document data usage, data taxonomy, metadata, transformation rules, data sources, and technical data field information in defined data discovery templates
• Ensure all documentation is prepared for upload into the organization's data management tool for retention and data lineage creation (this part would be done by a separate team)

Requirements:

• Immediate availability for the next 3-6 months
• Strong understanding and previous experience with BCBS239 and data governance (data definitions, data ownership)
• Experience in documenting data lineage and controls
• Knowledge of data used and produced in wholesale, finance, and risk areas for regulatory or internal reporting (e.g., entity-related, exposure-related, collateral-related)
• Ability to engage with stakeholders at various seniority levels and areas (Risk/Finance/Wholesale) and strong presentation skills
• Proficiency in English
