Security Engineer

Start Date: ASAP / Within 1 Month / Flexible

Work Model: hybrid (2 days per week - office in Warsaw)

Contract Type: B2B (170-190 PLN/h + VAT)

We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to support and strengthen application security practices across multiple software teams. In this role, you will contribute to secure development activities, perform application security testing, and collaborate with developers to identify, analyze, and resolve vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise on secure development practices and the security aspects of programming languages and development frameworks.

• Perform security testing and source code reviews to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.

• Onboard applications into security testing tools such as OpenText Fortify, Sonatype NexusIQ, and Qualys WAS.

• Create or enhance CI/CD pipelines to enable automated security scanning.

  
  

Expectations

• Proven experience as a Software Security Engineer with strong knowledge of application security vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques.

• Hands‑on experience in at least one core programming language: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.

• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, applied cryptography, and secure coding principles.

• Familiarity with web technologies, web services, service‑oriented architectures, and network/web protocols.
