Hybrid work model: 3 days in the office (Żerniki near Poznań), 2 days remote.
Reporting to the Senior Director of IT, based in the US, you will be responsible for coordinating and serving as advanced functional authority for complex business solutions and SAP enhancement projects. Utilizing skills that require an understanding of business processes, business and technical impacts, and software development lifecycle (SDLC), you will be responsible for designing effective business-oriented SAP solutions, executing functional changes, and guiding cross-functional project teams.
Responsibilities:
- Providing SAP functional guidance to professional and technical staff across the organization
- Analyzing and evaluating business requirements, consulting with various departments and identifying areas for the development of technical solutions to automate and/or improve business processes
- Providing recommendations on new or enhanced systems, software, upgrades, and modifications
- Evaluating and balancing the needs of multiple non-technical departments to execute the most effective outcomes
- Guiding strategic plans for systems/applications development
- Acting as technical lead over business improvement projects
- Designing and directing cross-functional project testing and quality assurance processes
- Designing and directing user training sessions, developing, and updating user documentation and materials for users and applications support staff
- Providing or coordinating functional and business adjacent subject matter expert staff training
- Developing functional specifications to guide application development staff ahead of complex system enhancements
- Determining cost benefit for enhancement projects
- Any additional similar duties as required to ensure efficiencies and ongoing improvements
Requirements:
- A degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, business or a similar related field
- One or more approved information technology certificates and/or completion of other approved technology related training
- Six or more years dedicated to SAP ECC; specifically, SD (sales and distribution) expertise with supporting knowledge in FI (SAP financial control) and WM (SAP warehouse management)
- Broad knowledge of operations, services, concepts, terms, and activities common to SAP systems, customer service, sales, and distribution
- Developing and presenting technical documentation and training materials
- Experience with troubleshooting and remedying complex production issues with SAP SD and WM, adhering to internal SLA guidelines for response and remediation
- Experience of effectively leading cross-functional, multi-national teams through complex information technology projects involving multiple disciplines to achieve departmental goals
- The ability to apply critical thinking skills to reach sound, logical conclusions regarding uniform business needs and requirements with a broad scope
- Fluency in English is essential, with good reading and written skills. Additional European language skills are also highly desirable
- The ability to work independently as a subject expert, as well as working as part of a wide diverse team globally
