Product Regulatory Compliance Specialist (Accessibility, WCAG)
Summary
We are looking for a product focused regulatory compliance specialist to join us and help us ensure our digital experience is inclusive, accessible, and easy to use for everyone. The specialist will work with various internal stakeholders to ensure our web experience complies with applicable regulatory standards, including accessibility requirements, and proactively identify areas for improvement. The specialist will also be responsible for conducting audits of our various web experiences and provide detailed recommendations on how to improve accessibility and best practices for product teams to follow.
Responsibilities
Plan
· Plan accessibility assessments of the company’s web experiences based on Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2.
· Coordinate with Enabling Services to plan assessments to support 2025 web experience projects as appropriate, including Single Portal Experience and Enhance Customer Support.
Execute
· Conduct accessibility assessments of the company’s web experiences based on Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 using various automated and manual testing methods.
· Assist in the QA of Portal updates.
· Review and provide feedback on areas for improvement.
· Suggest next steps in design, code, or content as relevant.
Support
· Obtain, understand and provide a consolidated reference outlining the policies, procedures and applicable global laws and regulations.
· Monitor changes in WCAG standards and international laws and regulations to identify potential criteria changes.
· Document best practices and guidelines for accessibility compliance.
· Support teams in implementing recommendations for improving accessibility.
· Collaborate with development teams to ensure specifications are understood and implemented.
Qualifications
Minimum
· Understanding of various disabilities and how people interact with the web.
· Strong understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG and WAIARIA).
· Proficiency in automated and manual accessibility testing tools.
· Familiarity with screen readers (e.g, NVDA, VoiceOver) and other assistive technologies.
· Working knowledge of browser developer tools and frontend development languages (HTML, CSS and JavaScript).
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
· Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to conduct work in a costeffective manner.
Desired
· Experience working with a design system.
· Experience working with a multilanguage, multi-national user base.
· Experience working in a company in the networking industry (ability to understand the goals and needs of the tasks the users will be performing).
· IAAP CPACC and/or WAS Certificate or equivalent.
