Job Summary
You will partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure our suppliers uphold the highest standards of human rights, labor practices, and ethical conduct. This role will have a contingent worker classification and This individual will report to the Sr Manager of Supplier Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging and Supply Chain Human Rights Programs within Procurement. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of international human rights standards, supply chain management, and the ability to drive impactful change in complex environments.
Responsibilities
· Program Development
· Lead strategy and policy development for our Client’s global supply chain human rights program partnering with key functions (e.g., EHS, HR, Procurement, Legal) etc.
· Establish policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with international human rights standards.
· Supplier Engagement
· Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to promote human rights awareness and compliance.
· Monitoring and Reporting
· Support sustainability and regulatory reporting (e.g., CSRD, Forced Labor and Modern Slavery Statements, etc.).
· Develop and implement a robust monitoring system to track progress and impact of the program.
· Prepare reports for leadership and stakeholders on program performance and areas for improvement.
· Promote transparency and accountability through public reporting on human rights performance.
· Risk Management
· Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address identified risks and close performance gaps.
· Keep informed of emerging human rights issues and trends to adapt the program as necessary
· Stakeholder Collaboration
· Facilitate discussions across multiple stakeholders to design and implement risk management mechanisms.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate human rights consideration into supply chain processes and align human rights initiatives with business objectives.
Qualifications
· Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Human Rights or a related field is required.
· Minimum of 5 – 7 years of experience in supply chain human rights, sustainable sourcing, sustainability, legal/regulatory compliance, corporate social responsibility, or relevant consulting experience, preferably within a global context.
· Experience and knowledge of relevant sustainability standards, regulations, and guidelines (e.g., CSRD, CSDDD, UNGP, OECD, German Supply Chain Act, etc.)
· Experience with supply chain operations, compliance frameworks, raw material traceability, and supply chain regulations.
· Knowledge of software systems and solutions facilitating traceability
· Passion and business acumen for human rights.
· Track record of successfully managing projects including cross functional stakeholders & teams.
· Possess strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
