Java Architect (Insurance)

Java Architect for Insurance Services Competency. 

This specific position gives you the opportunity to interact within an international environment and work with some of the most recognizable and influential players in the insurance market. 

The Opportunity 

As a Java Architect in Insurance Services Consulting, you will participate in various streams of insurance projects, collaborating with agile team members to achieve project and client goals while being a part of Business Transformations. We are looking for passionate developers willing to steer our projects onto a new track! You will utilize the most advanced technology stack and can implement innovative solutions while working with top leaders in the insurance industry. As part of our global team, you will engage in international projects based on the latest data technologies and cloud platforms. Additionally, you will play a significant role in building and expanding the Insurance Services competency, providing service with the international team on sales, business development, and hiring opportunities. 

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Work as an Architect and/or Technical Lead to contribute to various technical streams of insurance implementation projects
• Help build an Insurance Services competency in Poland and the EMEIA region
• Interface and communicate with onsite coordinators and Client’s technical stakeholders
•  Must be an expert in core technical skills: Java/JEE, Spring, Hibernate, Spring boot Microservices, Web Service (Rest & SOAP), Apache Camel - CXF, Kafka
• Plan and monitor project deliverables from the team
• Mentor the project team in executing the identified projects
• Ability to design and provide solutions for external integrations 
• Willing to travel to customer locations as needed
• Participate in organization-wide people initiative

Skills and Attributes for Success: 

• BE/B.Tech/MCA/MSc
• Must have hands-on experience in the insurance domain - Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Property & Casualty, Claims Management, Underwriting, etc.
• Must be an expert in core technical skills: Java/JEE, Spring, Hibernate, Spring Boot, Microservices, Web Services (Rest & SOAP), Apache Camel - CXF, Kafka
• Nice to have hands-on experience with Cloud platforms (at least one) – AWS, Azure, GCP
• Ability to design and provide solutions for external integrations
• Ability to understand the Insurance core systems architecture, administration, configuration, and data structure

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have: 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, IT, Science, or other Technical qualifications
• 9+ years in a corporate IT environment in similar positions
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent people leadership skills

Ideally, You’ll Also Have: 

• Certificates proving certain skills: Java, Spring, SQL, AWS or Azure Cloud, Angular, React
• Business certificates proving insurance domain knowledge and experience
• Good understanding and experience in agile methodologies
• Experience in client-facing roles
• German, French, or Spanish language skills (nice to have)
