IT Business Management Subject Matter Expert

Location: Remote (100%)

Tasks

• Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert for IT Business Management (ITBM) and Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) processes and ServiceNow ITBM/SPM modules.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to align IT portfolios and programs with organizational strategy and desired business outcomes.

• Lead the implementation and configuration of ITBM/SPM solutions, including demand management, project management, resource planning, agile delivery, and financial planning.

• Define and continuously improve processes related to demand management, project portfolio management, resource allocation, and financial tracking.

• Provide strategic advisory on governance frameworks, KPI development, and value realization metrics.

• Create executive-level dashboards, reports, and analytics to support strategic decision-making.

• Train and mentor business users, PMO teams, and IT staff on ITBM/SPM best practices.

• Ensure high data quality, process compliance, and ongoing improvement in portfolio management practices.

• Act as a liaison between business strategy, finance, and IT delivery teams.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on expertise in ServiceNow ITBM/SPM modules, including Project Portfolio Management, Demand, Resource, Financials, Agile, and Application Portfolio Management (APM).

• Proven experience in portfolio governance, demand prioritization, and financial planning.

• Ability to engage with executive stakeholders and translate strategic goals into actionable portfolios.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and facilitation skills.
