Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in data virtualization and deep proficiency in Starburst Trino or Apache Trino. This role involves working on large-scale distributed systems, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability. Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and optimize Starburst Trino / Apache Trino for performance and scalability

• Design and implement data virtualization solutions for complex data ecosystems

• Monitor and troubleshoot distributed queries and system performance

• Ensure security compliance using LDAP, Ranger, and related tools

• Develop and maintain scripts and automation using Python, SQL, Bash, Node.js

• Collaborate with teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code using GitHub Actions, Terraform, Kubernetes

• Apply best practices in versioning, release management, and deployment

• Work in an agile environment, contributing to continuous improvement

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Starburst Trino or Apache Trino (installation, configuration, tuning)

• Solid understanding of data engineering practices and distributed systems

• Experience with AWS cloud platform

• Knowledge of security frameworks (LDAP, Ranger)

• Programming experience in Python, SQL, Bash, Node.js, and Linux/Unix shell scripting

• Familiarity with DevOps tools: GitHub Actions, Terraform, Kubernetes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and customer focus
