Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Architect to lead the design and evolution of our Azure-based data platform in the financial domain. This role combines hands-on architecture, modernization of legacy MSBI solutions, and strong ownership of standards, governance, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and govern data architecture on Azure (focus on Databricks)

• Lead migration from SQL Server / SSIS (MSBI) to modern data platform (incremental approach)

• Support teams in building Data Products and adopting modern data patterns

• Take ownership of architectural decisions aligned with enterprise standards

• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors (SaaS/COTS)

• Support security, access models, and audit/compliance activities

Requirements

• Experience as Senior Data Architect or Lead Data Engineer

• Strong Azure Data Platform experience (especially Databricks)

• Background in modern data architectures (ETL/ELT, integration, data modeling)

• Experience with legacy-to-cloud migrations (MSBI preferred)

• Solid skills in Python, Spark, and SQL

• Ability to work independently and drive topics end-to-end

Nice to Have

• Experience in regulated environments (finance)

• Knowledge of audit/compliance processes

• Experience working with vendors and SaaS solutions

• Exposure to Power BI or semantic layers
