Application Security Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Application Security Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, and improving the security of our applications and systems.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in security assessment tools (e.g., ASPM) and scanners (e.g., Semgrep, BlackDuck, Nexus IQ, ZAP, Fortify, Sonarqube).
• Strong knowledge of major application vulnerabilities and threats (e.g., OWASP TOP10) and expertise in mitigating and remediating them.
• Deep understanding of secure coding practices and security standards (e.g., OWASP ASVS, NIST).
• Practical experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, .NET, JS, C, C++) and scripting.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).

Certifications:

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, or GWAPT are highly desirable.

Soft Skills:

• Proactivity and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Motivation and passion for staying up-to-date with the latest trends and threats in cybersecurity.
• Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in application security or related fields.
