    We are looking for a skilled File Transfer Engineer to join our client’s team, a leader in global financial services. As a File Transfer Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing secure file transfer processes. You’ll play a key role in ensuring secure, reliable data exchanges for critical business operations.     Key Technologies:

    • File Transfer Platforms: IBM Sterling Connect:direct (Windows, Unix)
    • Management and Monitoring Tools: IBM Sterling Control Center, IBM Sterling Web Console
    • Security and Proxy Solutions: IBM Sterling Secure Proxy
    • Additional Tools (Nice to Have): rvsEVO, JSCAPE
    • Scripting Languages: C Scripting, SQL Scripting, Shell Scripting, PowerShell


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage, configure, and optimize IBM Sterling Connect:direct on Windows and Unix platforms to ensure secure and reliable file transfers.
    • Oversee and monitor file transfer activities through IBM Sterling Control Center and IBM Sterling Web Console.
    • Utilize IBM Sterling Secure Proxy to facilitate secure, compliant external file transfers.
    • Develop and maintain C Scripts for automation, customizing workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
    • Create SQL and Shell scripts to support file transfer operations and streamline processes.
    • Conduct troubleshooting and incident resolution for Connect:direct, identifying root causes and implementing proactive solutions to prevent future issues.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing expertise on file transfer processes, security, and compliance standards.
    • Document and maintain file transfer configurations, procedures, and best practices to support operational continuity.
    • Willingness to participate in shift planning and weekend operational support.


    Ideal Qualifications:

    • Proven experience as a File Transfer Engineer or in a similar role managing IBM Sterling Connect:direct environments.
    • A solid IT technical background with expertise in operating systems (especially AIX, RHEL, and Windows Server), network security, and certificate management.
    • Strong proficiency in IBM Sterling Connect:direct on both Windows and Unix platforms.
    • Hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Control Center and IBM Sterling Web Console for monitoring and managing file transfers.
    • Familiarity with IBM Sterling Secure Proxy for secure file transfer operations.
    • Proficiency in scripting with C, SQL, Shell, and PowerShell for automation and operational tasks.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to ensuring data integrity and security in file transfer operations.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business teams.
    • Fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus.


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with rvsEVO and JSCAPE platforms.
    • Familiarity with other file transfer protocols and tools, such as FTP, SFTP, FTPS, SSH, SSL/TLS
    • Background in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
    • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards for secure data transfers.
