The Application Specialist (C# .NET) will be part of our skilled Technical Support Team. Responsibilities include application development and maintenance based on AGILE and ITIL processes, supporting activities related to applications and software, software deployment, bug fixing, backup management, and monitoring. It also involves multi-level incident and problem management for both software and infrastructure services.
We are looking for an experienced professional to develop and maintain applications using C# .NET. This position is within our Technical Support Team, focused on providing innovative solutions in a collaborative environment.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Understanding technical and business requirements from End Users or Customers
- Programming defined project packages, such as designing, creating, and implementing solutions for complex problems
- Event, Incident, and Problem management related to software and/or hardware infrastructure administration
- Managing application-related incidents at 2nd and 3rd levels, including bug fixing, development, testing, Change Request implementation, monitoring, and user support for applications like SAP, SIECUS, EDI clearing, etc.
- Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades
- Initial installation and upgrades of software on application servers, database servers, operating systems, webservers, directory servers, commercial packages, etc.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a software developer
- Excellent German and English communication skills – B2 level or higher
- Proficiency in .NET and ASP.NET programming languages
- Knowledge and ability for software development with C#
- Database developer knowledge, specifically Oracle SQL statements for problem analysis and solution
- Expertise in HTML/XML
- Advanced experience with MS IIS
- Expert knowledge in designing solutions/systems, defining architecture, and creating code
- Ability to analyze and solve problems in complex and distributed systems with transitions and interfaces to other services (e.g., SAP)
- Technological knowledge of the architecture of web applications with databases
- Application support knowledge for Windows servers and web application servers to ensure operation
