Senior Test Analyst

Division: Group Digital Capabilities (GDC)

We are looking for a Senior Test Analyst in the AIR (Analytics, Insights and Reporting) tribe. The tribe helps to transform data into insights using techniques such as descriptive analysis, text mining, machine learning, process mining, network analytics, predictive modelling, etc.

Our scope can be summarized as follows:

· Operating and managing the evolution of the Data & Analytics Platform (DAP) consisting out of a DataLake, the Group Data Warehouse and a new off-premise Operational Data Store aligned with new market evolutions.

· Key player in the AI CoE.

· Centre of Expertise for BI & Reporting.

· Provide project support and expertise to various business lines.

The Role:

• Design the Test Strategy, including deployment approach, on projects led by the Squad, using a Risk-Based Approach
• Specify and plan the corresponding activities and lead their execution
• Understand Functional and Technical documentation (Requirements / Design) to create Test Scenarios/Test Cases (Manual and Automated) and prepare the test data
• Execute the test scenarios / test cases, analyze results and report on progress accurately
• Manage defects, carrying out the required analysis and defect triage
• Produce the test summary report
• Develop and execute automation scripts using automated test tools; integrate automated testing into the build process
• May manage the deployment (consolidate release scenario, collect authorizations, coordinate change delivery and support operations right after deployment).
• Work collaboratively within the squad and with all squads throughout the organisation
• Be responsible for overall Quality Assurance in your Squad:
• Ensure that all aspects of software quality are considered including functionality, performance, security, and usability
• Document test execution and defects logs
• Act as the authority of the testing practices within the Squad
• Perform peer review to ensure completeness, suitability and accuracy of testing deliverables
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing best practices

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in various testing techniques, including functional, non-functional, performance, automation…
• Experience in test coordination with multiple squads / departments
• Knowledge of SDLC methodologies and software development processes (Waterfall, SAFE, Agile).
• Knowledge of QA tools (ALM, Azure devops)
• Experience in data manipulation (SQL skills, ETL process…)
• Knowledge of Azure Cloud Data Platform is an asset.
• Experience in automation – solid knowledge of automation frameworks (Ready API / Selenium) and programming languages (C# / Python / java)

Soft Skills:

• Experience in working in a complex environment with a complex solution and architecture (multiple environments, technologies)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug
• Strong communication with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams; true teammate who demonstrates good social skills
• Autonomous, self motivated and proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and tools.
• Ability to operate in a changing environment and to participate to the change
• Proficient in English

Experience:

• Master's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Civil Engineering or similar
• ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing is an asset
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in software testing on data management projects or as data engineer (with interest for testing activities).

The Group Digital Capabilities (GDC) division contributes to Euroclear’s competitiveness by delivering reliable and sustainable IT solutions for the financial securities markets. Our teams deliver new IT solutions and improve existing applications for both our internal and external clients. We deploy changes into the production environment in a controlled and structured way that does not compromise production stability and we ensure applicative production support.
