Infrastructure Engineer

The Role:
We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining applications and systems within the IT infrastructure. Ensuring all software and hardware components are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
- Assisting users and improving the various common services provided by the infrastructure team.
- Using monitoring tools to ensure system availability and performance.
- Working with development teams and other IT staff to support infrastructure needs and maintaining comprehensive documentation of systems and procedures.
- Implementing and maintaining security best practices for infrastructure, including patch management, antivirus solutions, and vulnerability assessments.
Your Profile:
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Extensive experience in managing and maintaining Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, securing, hardening, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure and its various functionalities within security, identity, application, infrastructure and network. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Hands-on experience with setting up, designing, configuring and using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning as code.
- Proven knowledge and experience with the ITIL Framework including incident, problem, change and service management processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- A proactive approach to learning new technologies and staying updated with industry trends.
Additional Skills:
- Proficiency in Active Directory and EntraID administration in a hybrid environment, including user and group management, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), Azure AD Connect, and domain services etc.
- Experience in deploying, managing, and scaling applications on Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL Database. Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Proficiency in DevOps practices and tools, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing. Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Expertise in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates. Ability to design and manage scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure environments. Experience in version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaboration tools (e.g., GitHub, GitLab).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Strong proficiency in Network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, routing, and switching, both on-prem and in cloud.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automating administrative tasks, managing cloud and on-premises environments.
