Data Center Engineer

Consulting Engineer – Data Center & Cloud (Hybrid, Kraków or Warsaw | B2B Contract)

We are looking for a Consulting Engineer to join our Professional Services team and help drive technology excellence across Data Center and Cloud networking projects. This is a hybrid role based in Kraków or Warsaw, offered on a B2B contract basis.

About the Role

As a Consulting Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing technology solutions for our enterprise customers. You will work closely with clients to accelerate their digital transformation by leveraging Cisco technologies and modern networking architectures.

You will act as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring our customers’ success through innovation, collaboration, and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive technology design, implementation, execution, and optimization for customer projects and accounts.

• Plan, design, configure, and diagnose Cisco’s suite of products and services to achieve customer outcomes.

• Assist with integration and implementation of tools, systems, and service assurance.

• Support presales activities and translate business requirements into technical solution designs.

• Build customer simulations in test labs to resolve and validate complex issues and compatibility challenges.

• Create and deliver technical documentation, portals, and knowledge transfer materials.

• Align technical deliverables to customer business objectives.

• Influence solution architectures and services during customer technology transitions.

• Communicate effectively at all organizational levels, including escalation management.

  
  

Role-Specific Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor, building long-term relationships with customers across the European region.

• Participate in or lead complex Data Center and Cloud infrastructure projects.

• Troubleshoot and solve complex, cross-functional issues (network, ACI, VXLAN, NMS, automation, etc.).

• Test and validate solutions in internal labs.

• Provide technical support during software and hardware upgrades.

• Participate in regular and ad-hoc customer meetings and ensure high customer satisfaction.

• Support Project Managers in project tracking and issue resolution.

  
  

Scope & Collaboration

• Collaborate with other Consulting Engineers across technology domains to ensure optimal delivery.

• Interact with engineers, managers, and customers at various levels of technical complexity.

  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience in designing, deploying, and supporting Networking and Data Center solutions (ideally Cisco).

• Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies (Cisco ACI, VXLAN, OSPF, BGP, STP, VLANs, VPC, QoS, etc.).

• Good knowledge of Data Center architectures and trends.

• Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus devices and Cisco ACI.

  
  

Desired Skills (a plus)

• Understanding of additional network domains (security, service provider, enterprise).

• Familiarity with Public Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Experience with Linux/Windows system administration, virtualization, and containers.

• Basic scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash, etc.).
