Staff AI Engineer (f/m/x)
The passion for traveling is what unites the entire eSky Group (eSky, eDestinos, Thomas Cook). Our online travel agency was created by combining years of experience in the travel industry with a love for modern technology. We develop solutions that inspire people to explore the world and together, we turn these inspirations into experiences.
eSky is building an AI team to drive transformation across the organization. We're looking for a hands-on AI Engineer who builds production systems, not just PoCs. You'll work with high autonomy - we give you direction and goals, you decide how to get there. You'll own AI initiatives from start to finish: spotting opportunities, building solutions, and tracking their measurable impact on business performance.
📄 B2B ( 250 - 350 PLN net per hour)📍 Katowice or remotely from Poland
What you'll do:
Design and build AI agents (RAG, multi-agent systems, LLM orchestration).
Integrate LLMs with eSky systems (APIs, workflow automation, internal tools).
Evaluate and adopt new models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) as they evolve.
Set technical standards for AI development (prompt patterns, guardrails, evaluation).
Transfer knowledge to engineering teams (pair programming, tech talks, code review).
Prototype "zero-based" solutions- how would we build this AI-first from scratch?
Work directly with business stakeholders to identify high-impact use cases.
What we're looking for:
Delivered AI systems that generated measurable business value- not just technical demos, but solutions that moved metrics and stayed in production.
Hands-on coding in Python, TypeScript, or C#.
Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar).
RAG in practice (embeddings, vector stores, retrieval optimization).
Self-direction: You're comfortable setting priorities and making decisions independently, taking initiative without needing constant guidance.
Outcome-focused ownership: You take responsibility for the business impact of your work, looking beyond technical execution to ensure meaningful results.
Cross-functional communication: You build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization and translate technical concepts into business value.
Nice-to have:
Travel, e-commerce, or marketplace domain experience
Public speaking or writing about AI (blog, conference, podcast)
Experience with AI evaluation and observability (LangSmith, Langfuse, custom evals)
Familiarity with the Polish tech ecosystem
What you'll find:
Direct impact on company-wide AI transformation.
Full autonomy, self-organizing teams, freedom to create working methods and choose technologies.
Mature Agile and technological processes: Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, daily deployments allowing you to observe the effects of your work.
Choice of equipment (Mac/Windows).
What else can we offer if you decide to travel with us?
Hybrid work model from Katowice (most Leaders come to the office regularly).
Internal and external training (e.g., Machine Learning, Kubernetes) and Hackathons.
Participation in IT conferences - every year we attend the most important industry conferences, not only in Poland but also abroad (including Infoshare, Google Cloud Next, ngPoland, jsPoland, 4Developers).
Time for learning. You can dedicate one day every two weeks to your own development.
Internal and external training for leaders as part of eSky Leadership Academy.
Co-financing for English language lessons during working hours.
Private medical care with Luxmed.
Employee Assistance Program - thanks to which you can benefit from free legal, psychological, or financial advice.
Free parking spots.
Option to join group life insurance through our partnership with Warta.
Company events: integration meetings, opportunities to share and gain knowledge.
