What you will do:
Your focus will be in the Physical layer (L1) parts of the Baseband SW. L1 is vital building blocks in our market leading 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) solution and in future within 6G. You will be placed in a section that will have L1 SW development and System responsibility. Your contribution will be in the feature development, prototype development, early study participation and product architecture evolution, in terms of quality and efficiency.
You will be writing inventive, high quality, clean, optimized and mostly threaded code in a multi-core environment. You will be writing unit tests and Multi component tests to secure the quality of your deliveries. And you will have lots of fun.
In a nutshell, you will:
- Develop 5G baseband architecture, functionality, and features, with special focus on signal processing functions
- Discuss about requirements with product managers and customers
- Develop algorithm
- Drive continues analysis for new features
- Follow 3GPP specification in the product
- Support for 3GPP delegates team
- Input to customer documentation
- Take responsibility for statement of compliance
- Support for customer requests
- Drive continuous improvements of products and processes
- Prepare patents
- Join the early phase studies, to transform requirements into L1 implementation
The skills you bring:
- Strong experience in wireless systems (e.g. 2G, 3G, 4G, WiMAX, WiFi)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- General programming skills, e.g. C, C++
- Knowledge of 5G and LTE (4G) standards (3GPP)
- Experience in defining product architecture or complex implementation proposals
- Ability to explain difficult things in the simple way
- Real time embedded systems knowledge is an advantage
- Signal processing knowledge is an advantage
- Mathematics background is an advantage (work on algorithms and signal processing)
- MSc/Bsc level in a technical subject area or the equivalent level of knowledge.
- Keen interest in the long-term evolution and success of the Baseband SW product.
- Find it stimulating with teamwork and be part of a global organization.

We work in a hybrid model - 3 days from the office and 2 days from home weekly.
