Job SummaryThe Senior Manager of Platform Infrastructure Engineering will supervise a distributed team of 6-8 engineers who support server and cloud infrastructures for development teams to build critical applications. The ideal candidate will promote and implement agile practices and help build secure and highly available computing infrastructure, including ESXi, Proxmox, K8S, and/or public cloud. They will also implement DevOps/GitOps tooling and provide Infrastructure APIs for developers to consume Infrastructure as code. This role will collaborate with developers, application support, security, and production systems. Together, we strive for the success of digital services and the adoption of DevOps.

Responsibilities:

• Design, Build, Manage, Support deployment of Server Compute Infrastructure

• Manage & Monitor day to day operations including server hardware, software and operating systems

• Create CI/CD pipelines and set guidelines for high availability, performance, monitoring, backup, and restoration.

• Build & coach high performing geographically distributed engineering team members

• Encourage and support the application of DevOps principles and tools for the development team and automation engineers

• Implement process and technical improvements that help in just-in-time operational tooling and consolidation of tools and dashboards

• Prioritize initiatives of infrastructure solutions and enact approved improvement recommendations

• Partner with InfoSec to implement security controls for critical Network infrastructure

• Collaborate with various partner organizations to build trusted relationships

Qualifications:

• Professional experience in leading engineering teams

• Proven experience in Cloud Operations / DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineering preferably in a multi-national organization

• Experience with Deployment Automation technologies like Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• Proficient in infrastructure & virtualization technologies including server OS, infra management, deployment automation and hypervisors (VMware ESXi, Proxmox)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and Kubernetes

• Expertise with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

• Experience in working across multiple teams with cross-functional collaboration

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
