Senior Python Developer

Join our team as an experienced Senior Python Developer and contribute to a project for one of the world's largest investment companies. 

This role offers a hybrid model, with 3 days per week working from the office in Krakow or Gdansk.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust software applications using Python and other Object-Oriented Programming languages such as Java or C++
• Apply classic data structures and algorithms to optimize software performance, ensuring highly efficient code
• Utilize fundamental mathematical and quantitative skills to execute optimization tasks and data analysis projects using tools like Pandas and NumPy
• Focus on detail and accuracy in software development, performing rigorous testing and validation to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Work autonomously yet collaboratively within Agile framework teams, contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle and adapting to iterative project progressions

Requirements

• Minimum 4 -5 years’ experience in software development in Python and skilled in any OOP languages: Java, or C++
• Comfortable using classic data structures and computer algorithms
• Fundamental mathematical, quantitative, optimization, and data analysis skills
• Focus on details, be critical of accuracy, and be passionate with computer programming
• Ability to work autonomously
• Experience working in Agile
• Investment Management knowledge is preferable
• Undergrad degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering and, or any related discipline
• Proficiency in an object-oriented or functional paradigm such Java, Python

Nice to have

• Experience in any quantitative, mathematical or data analytic projects: e.g. computer simulation, numeric computation, mathematical modelling, data analysis, statistical analysis
• Skilled in Python programming with experience in data analytical libraries, e. g. Pandas, NumPy
• Investment Management Industry experience
