Senior Petrel Developer
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Senior Petrel Developer to join our driven team. The ideal candidate will focus on developing, customizing, and enhancing solutions within the Petrel platform, prioritizing subsurface workflows and data integration. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a passion for working in the Oil & Gas domain.
Responsibilities
Develop and customize solutions on the Petrel platform to support subsurface workflows and data management
Utilize expertise with Ocean Framework SDK for Plugin development
Collaborate with geoscientists and engineers to interpret needs and convert them into technical solutions
Integrate Petrel with other tools and platforms to improve workflows and enhance processes
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within Petrel applications
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in line with best practices and standards
Perform testing and validation of solutions to guarantee quality and functionality
Document development processes, workflows, and solutions for future use
Stay informed on industry trends and advancements related to Petrel and related technologies
Requirements
At least 3 years of experience as a Petrel Developer with hands-on expertise in developing solutions on the Petrel platform
Strong programming skills in C#, .NET, or other relevant languages
Familiarity with Petrel SDK and its application in subsurface workflows
Basic understanding of geoscience and reservoir engineering concepts
Experience in integrating Petrel with other tools/platforms
Problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and troubleshoot efficiently
Good communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively
B2 level of English or higher, with an emphasis on technical communication skills
Nice to have
Knowledge of Oil & Gas domain workflows (FDP, WRFM, Seismic Imaging)
Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS
Understanding of Agile methodologies and version control systems like Git
