Senior Java Developer with Cloud

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join a team tasked with modernizing and enhancing a cloud-native AI platform utilized across the organization as part of a multi-year initiative.

You will collaborate with a cross-functional team comprising data scientists, software engineers, and business analysts, all focused on creating scalable solutions for internal clients. The group processes substantial data volumes for varied use cases, integrating traditional machine learning with cutting-edge generative AI. With rapid advancements in areas such as chatbots and intelligent agents, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to applied AI innovation.

This position follows a flexible hybrid model, requiring 3 days per week in the office located in Kraków.

Responsibilities

• Develop Java applications to address business requirements and technical specifications

• Work with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software solutions

• Use Azure services and technologies to create scalable, efficient applications

• Identify and resolve issues in code to maintain high performance and reliability

• Keep up with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in Java development and cloud computing

Requirements

• Knowledge of programming languages & frameworks (Java 18+, Spring Boot)

• Background in API development (RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger)

• Expertise in databases & ORM (PostgreSQL, Oracle, Hibernate, JPA)

• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)

• Competency in cloud platforms (Azure)

• Familiarity with monitoring & logging tools (Prometheus, Splunk)

• Understanding of testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, JBehave)

• Skills in messaging & integration (Kafka, REST)

• Capability to handle security & authentication (OAuth2, JWT, Spring Security)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with performance tuning techniques

• Background in DevOps strategies

• Expertise in modern UI frameworks such as React and Angular, as well as scripting languages like PERL and Bash

• Proficiency in cloud-related technologies including MS Azure, AKS, AWS, or GCP
