Senior Java Developer (with Cloud)

The project involves generating data-driven requirements for capturing documents and data based on data taxonomy, utilizing microservices architecture, Azure Kubernetes Service, and Spring Boot.

This role requires working from the Krakow office 3 days per week, offering the perfect balance of collaboration and flexibility.

Candidates who join by May 31, 2025, will receive a sign-on bonus equivalent to one month's salary.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in designing and building highly scalable and distributed cloud applications
• Provide technology solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services
• Design, plan, and deliver sustainable solutions using modern technologies
• Embrace state-of-the-art AI tools to deliver better, well-tailored solutions
• Implement proofs of concept and application skeletons for the rest of the team
• Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide on architecture
• Take part in building modern CI/CD solutions to reduce lead time
• Work in a hybrid mode (3 days in the office per week)

Requirements

• Solid experience in JVM programming languages (ideally Java 11+)
• Proven track record of enterprise-level application development for 5+ years
• Extensive experience in writing testable and maintainable code
• Understanding of distributed microservices architectures and patterns
• Very good understanding of integration patterns
• Advocating best engineering practices (SOLID, clean code)
• Experience with Agile ways of working
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with cloud-based technologies: cloud-based technologies and Kubernetes

Nice to have

• Experience in or willingness to learn Java reactive programming / Spring WebFlux / Spring Boot microservices
• Proficiency in NoSQL databases (ideally MongoDB or CosmosDB)
• Experience with Azure
• Confluent Kafka
