Senior Java Backend Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Java Backend Developer to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing a multi-asset strategic investment management platform.

This role offers a hybrid work model, with 3 days per week working from the client's office in Wroclaw.

Candidates who join by 31st of May 2025, will receive a sign-on bonus equivalent to one month's salary.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java 11 or higher
• Build and optimize cloud-native applications with microservice architecture on Microsoft Azure Cloud
• Implement and integrate frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and testing tools like JUnit
• Manage relational databases, focusing on efficiency and performance, with systems like Postgres
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Product Managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Conduct system testing and ensure quality using tools like GitLab, Gradle, Maven, and DevOps methodologies
• Address production support issues by analyzing and resolving system errors effectively
• Work with stakeholders across global locations, fostering communication and ensuring alignment on project objectives
• Apply understanding of accessibility standards like WCAG 2.1 during development
• Utilize tools such as Tomcat, Ansible, Maven, Gradle to improve deployment processes and application stability
• Continuously enhance backend infrastructure by staying up-to-date with modern web technologies

Requirements

• Proven track record in Java development (Java 11 or higher), with over 3 years of experience
• Competency in cloud-native applications using microservice architecture on Microsoft Azure Cloud
• Qualifications in frameworks and integration tools such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and GitLab
• Background in relational database management systems like Postgres
• Knowledge of tools and processes including Tomcat, Ansible, Maven, Gradle, and DevOps methodologies
• Flexibility to use accessibility standards like WCAG 2.1 in development
• Familiarity with modern web technologies and testing tools such as JUnit
• Understanding of production support workflows involving collaboration with Business Analysts and Testers
• Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across international locations, with English proficiency at a B2+ level
