Senior IT Business Analyst

We are seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst with banking/finance sector experience to join our team in Wroclaw.

As an IT Business Analyst, you’ll play an important role interpreting complex regulatory requirements, breaking them down into user stories, defining acceptance criteria, helping shape and secure approval for solutions, coordinating with Products Owners and globally located development teams on the delivery of backlog entries, assisting with the planning and executing UAT testing, analyzing and triaging issues, creating and maintaining artifacts associated with deliveries, i.e. functional design documents, GitLab stories, confluence and teams pages, etc.

Responsibilities

• Engage with colleagues at all levels to meet business requirements
• Translate business requirements into technical documentation
• Collaborate with technologists to drive delivery within an Agile framework
• Conduct as-is and to-be impact analysis
• Contribute to reduction of all security and operational risks, in line with policies and standards
• Identify opportunities to improve our processes

Requirements

• Ideally 2-4 years of experience in a SCRUM delivery model within the financial sector
• Solid understanding of regulatory common reporting obligations, i.e. EMIR, MiFID, SFTR, CFTC, Dodd Frank, etc
• Cross asset class knowledge covering both Listed (ETD) and OTC products – Fixed Income (Rates and Credit), Commodity, Equity and FX – Cash/Spot and Derivatives – Options, Future and Forwards
• Knowledge of end-to-end Investment Management operations – Order Management, Trade Execution, Confirmation/Affirmation, Settlement
• Collateral Management, Fund Accounting, etc
• Any technical experience with SQL, XML, FpML, FIXML, GitLab, Excel, Alteryx, PowerBI would be beneficial
• Iinquisitive, able to challenge effectively and manage conflicting stakeholder needs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent in English and Polish to support local client base
