SAP Authorizations/Automation Software Engineer

We are seeking a SAP Authorizations/Automation Software Engineer to architect, execute, and refine user access frameworks, security protocols, and automated workflows within SAP platforms.

The selected candidate will collaborate closely with security, compliance, and IT teams to ensure efficient user management and advanced process automation. This position also involves the transfer of knowledge from the client team and developing a comprehensive knowledge base for the newly formed team.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage SAP authorization frameworks, including role-based access control (RBAC)
• Create and oversee security profiles and roles across SAP systems
• Automate processes for user provisioning, role assignments, and access controls
• Maintain adherence to security policies, audit standards, and regulatory guidelines
• Assess and address risks tied to SAP access and segregation of duties (SoD)
• Facilitate effective transfer of knowledge from the client team and document essential security and automation workflows
• Develop and maintain a centralized knowledge database for the new team
• Support systems during SAP upgrades, migrations, and security compliance evaluations
• Enhance collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve security automation and user access frameworks
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex authorization issues efficiently

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in SAP security and user access management
• Strong understanding of SAP role configuration and access assignment
• Knowledge of automation solutions and scripting aimed at SAP security workflows
• Proficiency in SAP GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) implementations
• Capability to document processes and ensure seamless transfer of expertise
• Competency in analytical problem-solving for authorization-related challenges
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SAP Fiori and S/4HANA security configurations
• Background in ABAP for enhancements related to security
• Understanding of DevOps methodologies within SAP security automation
