SAP ABAP Engineer

We are looking for a skilled SAP ABAP Engineer to develop, customize, and optimize SAP applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ABAP programming, SAP system enhancements, and technical problem-solving. You will work closely with functional teams, support business processes, and ensure high-quality SAP solutions. Additionally, you will be contributing to ensuring knowledge transfer from the client team and contributing to a knowledge database, keeping it properly updated for the new team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and optimize SAP applications using ABAP, ABAP OO, CDS views, AMDP, and OData Services
• Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and develop technical solutions
• Implement user exits, BAPIs, BADIs, and enhancements to extend SAP standard functionality
• Work on SAP S/4HANA development, ensuring smooth system performance and integration
• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of SAP programs
• Participate in SAP upgrades, migrations, and new implementations
• Support knowledge transfer from the client team, documenting key technical information
• Maintain and update the team’s knowledge database, ensuring accurate and structured documentation
• Ensure coding best practices and participate in code reviews
• Stay up to date with SAP technologies and development trends

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development
• Strong knowledge of ABAP, ABAP OO, CDS Views, AMDP, and OData Services
• Familiarity with SAP modules (FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, etc.) and their integration
• Understanding of SAP S/4HANA development and migration projects
• Experience with SAP enhancement frameworks (user exits, BAPIs, BADIs)
• Ability to document and transfer knowledge effectively to ensure a smooth transition for new team members
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• English proficiency at a B2+ level

Nice to have

• SAP ABAP certification
• Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development
• Familiarity with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform)
• Knowledge of SAP integration technologies (IDocs, RFCs, Web Services)
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
