Lead Python Engineer (GenAI)

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Python Engineer with experience in Generative AI and Azure for our Client, a global leader in banking, investment banking, and financial services.

You’ll join the AI Platform Team, which includes data scientists, software engineers, and business analysts. The team processes vast amounts of data for diverse use cases, utilizing both traditional machine learning models and cutting-edge Generative AI. They are rapidly expanding in areas such as chatbots and agents while leveraging a cloud-native and tech-forward approach.

This role offers a hybrid work model, requiring 3 days a week at the Krakow office.

Responsibilities

1. Write high-quality, production-level Python code ready for cloud deployment
2. Create innovative agentic applications from proof of concept to large-scale production deployment
3. Define standards for developing agents and agentic tools
4. Investigate and apply modern agentic frameworks that align with the Client’s requirements
5. Contribute value to the Team through strong technical expertise and programming abilities, aiming for unique and exceptional results
6. Share insights with team members while learning from a motivated and skilled team
7. Collaborate with peers to design, develop, and implement solutions that advance the platform and align with the team’s technical objectives
8. Work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

1. Strong Python coding skills
2. Experience providing Technical Leadership for Engineering Teams
3. Background in building agentic solutions, such as agents, chatbots, and agent tools
4. Familiarity with GenAI-related APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
5. Competency in agentic frameworks like LangGraph, AutoGen, or Semantic Kernel
6. Expertise in cloud services, particularly Azure, with Azure AI services being advantageous
7. Proficiency in CI/CD tools and code deployment strategies

Nice to have

1. Understanding of Machine Learning and related Python tools
2. Familiarity with Kubernetes, with proficiency in AKS being an advantage
