Lead Java Developer

We are seeking a Lead Java Developer to join our global Fixed Income Rates and Credit Markets Technology team.

You will design and deliver high-performance applications for trading desks, contributing to new features and system stability. Apply now to be part of a motivated, international team.

This role offers a hybrid model, allowing you to work 3 days a week from our office in Kraków.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop scalable Java applications for complex business challenges

• Optimize and refactor existing components to improve performance and maintainability

• Lead UAT and demonstration sessions with key stakeholders

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications

• Collaborate with global IT teams to ensure seamless integration

• Support production rollouts and provide ongoing maintenance

• Contribute to new feature development and system enhancement

  
  

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional Java and Spring development experience

• Strong knowledge of low-latency, multi-threaded programming techniques

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Strong communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and market changes

• Experience in financial services or trading technology is preferred

• Upper-intermediate proficiency in English (B2+)

  
  

Nice to have

• Understanding of financial markets, particularly Rates and Credit bonds/derivatives with trading platforms such as Bloomberg and Tradeweb

• Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka and data serialization formats like AVRO

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
