Junior Java Developer

This role offers a hybrid model, with 3 days per week working from the client's office in Gdańsk, Kraków or Wrocław, Poland.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, testing, and maintenance of microservices using Java

• Implement small features and bug fixes under the guidance of senior engineers

• Write clean, readable, and maintainable code in line with team standards

• Participate in code reviews as a learner, receiving and applying constructive feedback

• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues alongside the team

• Take part in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, planning, reviews, and retrospectives

• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team

  
  

Requirements

• 6+ months of experience in Java engineering

• Solid understanding of Java fundamentals and object-oriented programming

• Familiarity with cloud concepts and interest in cloud-native development

• Basic knowledge of microservices architecture

• Eagerness to learn new technologies and engineering best practices

• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset

• Ability to work in a team-oriented, Agile environment

• Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English (both written and spoken)

Nice to have

• Experience with Kotlin or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

• Previous internship or project experience in cloud or backend development
