Senior Manual Tester

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Manual Tester with at least 5 years of experience to validate and ensure the quality of virtualization platforms, including VMware and OpenStack environments. This role involves creating and executing comprehensive test plans, documenting results, and collaborating with development and QA teams to deliver high-quality software solutions in virtualized environments.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute manual test cases for virtualization platforms, ensuring functionality, performance, and scalability.
• Perform thorough testing of VMware, OpenStack, and other virtualized environments.
• Validate integrations and interoperability between virtualization platforms and other systems.
• Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools like JIRA.
• Work closely with development teams to reproduce and resolve defects.
• Conduct regression testing and verify fixes to ensure stability across updates.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on test coverage, defects, and risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Maintain and update test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and user guides.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in manual testing, with a focus on virtualization platforms.
• Hands-on experience testing VMware and OpenStack environments.
• Strong understanding of virtualization concepts, including VMs, hypervisors, and networking within virtualized environments.
• Proficiency in using test management tools like TestRail or similar.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
• Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Certification in ISTQB or similar testing qualifications.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with PowerShell or Python for basic scripting tasks.
