Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to maintain network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in routing protocols, AWS network services, VPN technologies, and Linux systems. This role primarily supports Scrum teams in migrating applications from on-premises infrastructure to AWS cloud.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, and cloud networking.
• Troubleshoot routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF to ensure network stability and performance.
• Understand and troubleshoot AWS network services including Direct Connect Gateway (DXGW), Transit Gateway (TGW), VPNs, routing tables, subnets, and security groups.
• Deploy and maintain IKEv1 and IKEv2 IPSec VPNs, as well as DMVPN solutions.
• Knowledge and support of SSL remote-access VPN solutions such as Cisco AnyConnect or other similar technologies.
• Perform network performance analysis and optimize configurations to enhance efficiency and security.
• Utilize Linux Bash scripting for network automation, troubleshooting, and system maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate networking solutions into broader IT infrastructure.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 network support, troubleshooting complex network issues and resolving outages.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in network engineering roles.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and network security principles.
• Hands-on experience with routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF.
• Expertise in AWS networking services (DXGW, TGW, VPNs, routing tables, subnets, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of IPSec VPNs (IKEv1, IKEv2) and DMVPN technologies.
• Familiarity with SSL remote-access VPN solutions such as Cisco AnyConnect.
• Proficiency in Linux Bash scripting for network automation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, or equivalent.
• Experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Python, etc.).
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices.
• Knowledge of SD-WAN and software-defined networking (SDN) solutions.
