Summary: This role is for a senior Unreal Engine developer to lead engineering efforts on the Virtual Universe (AVU) platform. The developer will support the implementation of a 2026 content upgrade backlog and modernize the existing codebase.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead the engineering effort for the AVU codebase, ensuring rapid familiarization with the existing project.

• Implement the 2026 content upgrade backlog, including text updates and integration of third-party assets.

• Create and align necessary technical and security documentation with stakeholders.

• Rearchitect the platform to improve modularity and optimize performance.

• Coordinate with external art studios for integration of 3D and animation assets.

Key Requirements:

• 6-7 years of experience as a senior Unreal Engine developer, with 4 years on Unreal Engine 5.

• Fluency in C++ and Blueprint programming.

• Strong knowledge of Unreal 5 rendering technologies including Nanite and Lumen.

• Experience with UObject reflection, DataAssets, and related Unreal features.

• Familiarity with Perforce as a binary version control system.

• Strong technical documentation skills.

• Experience with performance engineering tools like Unreal Insights.

Nice to Haves:

• Understanding of art pipelines and tools such as Rhino or Blender.

• Experience with modular architecture in software development.

• Excellent communication skills in English.
