About the Role
The BizTalk Transformation Program is evolving from a pure steering function into an active execution and delivery governance role for the transformation of BizTalk integrations to modern target platforms such as Global Integration Hub (GIH), SAP BTP, and other cloud-native solutions.
As Technical Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for driving execution readiness, delivery alignment, and cross-platform coordination across multiple transformation streams. You act as the single delivery anchor between architecture, engineering teams, Microsoft, partners, and business stakeholders.
This role is not about hands-on development. It is about technical leadership, delivery ownership, dependency management, and execution control in a complex, multi-team environment.
What You Will Drive & Deliver
Technical Consulting & Stakeholder Advisory
Act as a trusted technical advisor for transformation initiatives from BizTalk to target platforms (GIH, BTP, others).
Translate business and compliance requirements into structured, executable delivery plans.
Guide teams on integration patterns, workflow orchestration, and platform fit, ensuring feasibility and alignment.
Ensure all stakeholders have a shared understanding of scope, risks, dependencies, and execution constraints.
Planning & Delivery Management
Own end-to-end delivery planning for transformation initiatives across multiple teams and platforms.
Define milestones, delivery phases, risks, and readiness criteria.
Ensure clear handover from analysis (Runoff Acceleration) into execution.
Drive alignment between architecture, engineering, platform teams, and business owners.
Dependency & Execution Control
Identify, track, and actively resolve cross-team, cross-platform, and vendor dependencies.
Maintain transparency on blockers and risks and ensure early escalation before timelines are impacted.
Coordinate Microsoft and partner contributions into the overall delivery plan.
Roadmap & Delivery Governance
Co-own the delivery roadmap for BizTalk transformations together with architects and product owners.
Assess incoming demands and validate delivery feasibility against capacity and constraints.
Run delivery reviews and provide fact-based status and risk reporting to SteerCo.
Ensure execution stays aligned with strategic priorities and compliance commitments (RTO/RPO, audit).
Capacity & Resource Planning
Build and maintain capacity forecasts across delivery and platform teams.
Identify gaps in skills, bandwidth, or ownership early.
Actively propose staffing or sourcing adjustments to protect delivery commitments.
Support decision-making on internal vs. Microsoft vs. partner execution.
Escalation & Issue Management
Serve as the primary escalation point for delivery-related issues.
Drive structured problem resolution involving architects, platform leads, Microsoft, and partners.
Communicate risks, impacts, and mitigation options clearly and early to leadership.
Operational & DevOps Alignment
Ensure delivery is aligned with DevOps and operational readiness standards.
Work closely with platform and DevOps teams to ensure CI/CD, IaC, observability, and operational processes support reliable delivery.
Enforce production readiness criteria including documentation, monitoring, and operational acceptance.
Skills & Experience You Will Need
Strong background in cloud-native architectures, ideally Azure, AKS, and integration platforms.
Solid understanding of workflow orchestration (e.g., Argo Workflows, Temporal, Airflow) and DAG-based integration concepts.
Proven experience driving technical delivery across multiple teams and products.
Excellent skills in planning, dependency management, roadmap creation, and risk management.
Ability to translate complex technical topics into actionable delivery plans.
Strong stakeholder management skills — able to consult, challenge, and align senior technical and business stakeholders.
Familiarity with DevOps principles (CI/CD, IaC, GitOps, monitoring, operational readiness).
A structured, proactive, execution-driven mindset with clear ownership.
