Solutions architect - Environmental Solutions team

We are supporting our client within the Construction industry in finding an experienced Solution Architect for a 6‑month assignment, with a high possibility of extension. The role is primarily based at their Stockholm office, with the option to work from Stockholm or Gothenburg. Occasional travel within Scandinavia should be expected.

About the assignment

You will join the client’s data‑driven Environmental Solutions team, a central function supporting sustainability, climate calculations, compliance, and ESRS reporting. The mission is to design scalable solutions for collecting, structuring, and ensuring the quality of environmental data.The role involves translating business needs into robust architectural designs and coordinating work across product teams, data engineers, integration specialists, and external partners. You will also act as an expert advisor on environmental data across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver solution architecture documentation including process, application, information, and infrastructure viewpoints.

• Lead solution design within cross‑functional project teams and secure alignment with business and IT stakeholders.

• Apply MVP‑based design principles to support iterative delivery.

• Adhere to the client's architectural frameworks (integration, security, master data).

• Participate in architecture forums and contribute to the development of architectural practices.

• Provide guidance on environmental data and its organisational value.

Required Competence & Experience

• Several years of experience in solution design within large or complex IT environments.

• Strong ability to analyse and map information flows and system interactions.

• Deep knowledge of data science principles and information modelling.

• Proven experience with ArchiMate modelling in Sparx Enterprise Architect.

• Documented experience in information security, including protection needs assessment and ISO 27000 controls.

• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to translate business needs into clear architectural solutions.

• Fluency in Swedish and English (spoken and written).

Meritorious

• Experience from the construction industry.

• Background in software development (highly beneficial).

• Experience facilitating workshops and supporting decision‑making.

• Understanding of IT governance and architectural principles.

• Experience with cloud solutions and modern integration platforms (especially Azure).

• Experience delivering solution architecture from design to implemented solution.
