Solution Architect role

The Solution Architect will be responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive data platform solutions across our Data platform stack, including Azure Synapse and Databricks environments. This hands-on architectural role involves translating business requirements into technical solutions while collaborating with lead engineers. The architect will guide implementations for key transformation projects such as SAP, Salesforce, POS, and o9, ensuring that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with data architecture principles, thereby supporting Pandora's vision of becoming a leading jewellery company.

Main Responsibilities:

• Designing end-to-end data platform solutions that align with data architecture principles.

• Working directly with lead engineers to propose architectural direction and ensure scalability and performance.

• Providing architectural guidance across transformation projects ensuring data integration aligns with business objectives.

• Designing integration architectures that connect source systems to our data platform via Kafka.

• Architecting solutions for centralized and lakehouse patterns.

• Reviewing technical designs and code to ensure adherence to data platform standards.

• Defining and documenting solution patterns and best practices to enhance data product quality.

• Leading technical design sessions with stakeholders and engineering teams.

• Creating relevant technical documentation including architecture decision records and data flow diagrams.

• Supporting modernization efforts while maintaining business continuity.

• Mentoring teams on solution design patterns and cloud-native best practices.

Key Requirements:

• 5-7+ years of experience in data platform solutions with proven delivery of production-grade systems.

• Strong Python development skills for data engineering workflows.

• Proficient in SQL development including optimization and performance tuning.

• Deep experience with Databricks lakehouse and Delta Lake features.

• Technical expertise in Azure Synapse and data schema design.

• Practical experience designing end-to-end data pipelines.

• Experience with streaming and lambda architectures.

• Knowledge in designing data quality frameworks.

• Understanding of centralized and federated architectural patterns.

• Practical knowledge of DAX calculations and Power BI performance optimization.

• Collaboration skills and ability to work closely with engineering teams.

• Strong communication skills for technical and business stakeholder engagement.

Nice to Have:

• Understanding of retail, manufacturing, finance, or supply chain processes.

• Ability to write code to support engineering teams in a hands-on environment.

Location: office in CPH working onsite 3 days and 2 days remote per week
