Project Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join a cross-functional, international team responsible for designing and maintaining a modern data infrastructure built on Snowflake and AWS. You will play a key role in shaping a data architecture that supports scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions for a large German organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize Snowflake and AWS-based data architectures
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to ensure timely and reliable data delivery
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into robust data solutions
- Design and evolve data warehouse models to support analytics and BI
- Ensure data quality and consistency through automated checks and monitoring
- Document data infrastructure, processes, and architecture decisions
- Recommend and implement performance and cost optimizations for cloud data platforms
- Act as a subject matter expert for Snowflake best practices and data architecture standards
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related field
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehouse platform
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms, especially AWS (Azure/GCP experience is a plus)
- Proficient in SQL and familiar with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
- Experience with ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica, Apache NiFi, or Alteryx
- Deep knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and data architecture principles
- Familiarity with DevOps and Agile development practices
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Proficient in English (minimum B2)
