emagine is seeking a skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team of freelance IT consultants. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in testing IT solutions, particularly within the financial sector. You will be expected to work independently on projects, proactively communicate issues, and propose relevant solutions. Strong expertise in automation frameworks and CI/CD concepts is essential for success in this role.

Main Responsibilities

As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will be tasked with creating and executing automated tests for software projects.

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
• Execute regression tests and report results.
• Communicate effectively with project teams regarding testing progress.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues in the testing phase.
• Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Participate in agile planning meetings.
• Support the team in documentation and reporting of test findings.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and testing techniques.
• Mentor junior team members on testing strategies.
• Ensure high-quality standards are met across all deliverables.

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software testing.
• ISTQB certification or demonstrated knowledge of concepts.
• Senior-level programming experience in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Robot Framework.
• Proficient in SQL (mid-level).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., git).
• Familiarity with file formats such as XML, CSV, JSON.
• Strong understanding of automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts.
• Ability to thrive in an agile environment.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of data concepts (ETL).
• Experience with Unix/Linux systems.
• Hands-on experience with tools like Jenkins.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
• Excellent communication skills.
