Senior SAP Joint Venture Accounting (JVA) Consultant

Summary:

The Senior SAP Joint Venture Accounting (JVA) Consultant is responsible for supporting Upstream Oil & Gas organizations through the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP JVA solutions. The role emphasizes compliance with joint operating agreements and industry accounting standards, enhancing overall efficiency and accuracy in accounting processes.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead SAP JVA implementation and enhancement initiatives from requirements gathering through to go-live support.

• Conduct workshops to gather and validate requirements with finance, joint venture, and business stakeholders.

• Configure SAP Joint Venture Accounting (JVA) solutions and related financial processes.

• Support ownership management, venture structures, equity groups, recovery processes, billing, and settlement activities.

• Design and implement solutions aligned with joint operating agreements (JOAs) and partner accounting requirements.

• Collaborate with SAP FICO, PRA, MM, PM, and Asset Management teams to ensure end-to-end integration.

• Develop functional specifications and support technical developments as necessary.

• Lead testing cycles including SIT, UAT, and defect resolution.

• Support data migration, cutover planning, and post-go-live activities.

• Provide guidance on best practices for joint venture accounting and hydrocarbon asset management.

• Deliver training and knowledge transfer sessions to business users and support teams.

• Manage relationships with senior stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Requirements:

• 8+ years of SAP consulting experience focused on SAP Joint Venture Accounting (JVA).

• Proven end-to-end SAP JVA implementation experience.

• Strong hands-on SAP JVA configuration skills.

• Experience in the Upstream Oil & Gas industry.

• Deep understanding of Joint Venture Accounting (JVA), Joint Operating Agreements (JOA), Partner Billing and Settlements, Equity Management, Cost Recovery and Revenue Distribution, Ownership Structures, and Venture Accounting Processes.

• Experience integrating SAP JVA with SAP FICO and related modules.

• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills.

• Excellent communication and documentation capabilities.

Nice to Have:

• SAP JVA Certification (if applicable).

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA for Oil & Gas.

• Knowledge of Production Revenue Accounting (PRA).

• Previous experience on large-scale Upstream Oil & Gas transformation programs.

• GCC project experience preferred.
