Senior SAP FICO Consultant

Summary

The role of a Senior SAP FICO Consultant is primarily to lead and implement SAP Finance and Controlling solutions in manufacturing environments, ensuring effective finance transformation initiatives while managing stakeholder expectations and project deliverables.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead full lifecycle SAP FICO implementations, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand finance and controlling processes and translate requirements into SAP solutions.

• Configure and customize SAP FICO modules to support business needs, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.

• Drive workshops, fit-gap analyses, and business process design sessions with client stakeholders.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including SAP MM, SD, PP, WM, and technical teams to deliver integrated solutions.

• Support financial process optimization across General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, and Internal Orders.

• Design and implement solutions supporting manufacturing finance processes, including cost accounting, inventory valuation, production costing, and profitability analysis.

• Prepare functional specifications and work closely with technical teams during development and integration activities.

• Manage testing activities including SIT, UAT, defect resolution, and production cutover.

• Provide stakeholder management at all levels, including business users, finance leadership, project managers, and executive sponsors.

• Deliver user training, knowledge transfer sessions, and support documentation.

• Ensure project deliverables are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 8+ years of SAP FICO consulting experience.

• Proven track record of delivering multiple end-to-end SAP FICO implementation projects.

• Strong experience within manufacturing, industrial, or production-driven environments.

• Hands-on expertise in SAP FICO configuration and business process design.

• Deep understanding of General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and more.

• Experience integrating SAP FICO with SAP MM, SD, PP.

• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing consulting skills.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice to Have:

• SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation experience.

• Experience in multinational manufacturing organizations.

• SAP certification in Finance or S/4HANA Finance.

• Prior consulting experience with system integrators or global consulting firms.

• Experience working on GCC-based projects.

• Location: Dubai, UAE

• Contract Duration: 6 Months (Extendable)

• Travel Requirement: Frequent business travel across the GCC region as required by project needs.
