Senior Program Manager for complex AI program

One of our clients in the banking industry is seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Program Manager to lead large, business-critical AI transformation programs across IT, digital products, and service delivery within Denmark. As a pivotal figure in program management, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end execution and translating strategy into delivery while ensuring alignment across stakeholders and measurable customer and enterprise value.

Main Responsibilities
Leading large-scale transformation programs with a scope of 200M–1B+ DKK across IT and business domains, your responsibilities will include:

• Owning end-to-end program governance, including planning, execution, risk management, and reporting

• Ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards

• Driving cross-functional coordination across multiple teams (100–400 FTEs) and departments

• Translating strategic priorities into clear program structures, milestones, and outcomes

• Engaging and aligning senior stakeholders and executive leadership in complex environments

• Driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across program delivery

• Supporting transformation initiatives including digitalization, simplification, and AI-enabled services.

Key Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in program management, IT delivery, or transformation leadership (with significantly large budgets)

• Proven track record delivering complex, high-impact programs in regulated environments

• Strong experience in banking, insurance, or public sector (banking is preferred)

• Deep expertise in program and portfolio management

• Familiarity with Agile and hybrid delivery models

• Strong stakeholder and executive communication abilities

• Understanding of IT systems, architecture, and service delivery

• Demonstrated ability to manage large budgets and multi-stream programs

• Ability to navigate organizational complexity and political environments

• Proven capability to lead through change and transformation

• Experience with AI programs / projects (will be preferred, but not a must).
