Senior Network Infrastructure Specialist

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Industry: banking

Location: Warsaw (hybrid work model – at least 2 days per week from the office)

Rate: up to 150 PLN/h net+VAT

Contract duration: Long-term cooperation

We are looking for a Senior Network Support Specialist to enhance network support operations. You will work within a team of over a dozen employees and external consultants, collaborating with the Network Engineering team (covering governance, security, architecture & design) and an external company handling daily support operations from India.

Your primary focus will be on reducing the number and duration of major incidents, optimizing resources (staff, servers, licenses, etc.), and improving support for other IT operations and development teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Diagnosing and troubleshooting network issues, responding to incidents, and ensuring quick service restoration.
• Providing technical consultation to other teams and improving operational efficiency.
• Defining and maintaining standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance with Engineering and Cybersecurity policies.
• Managing patching, upgrading, hardening, and monitoring of network infrastructure.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:

• Managing hundreds of switches and routers across LAN and WAN environments.
• Handling large-scale installations of network components such as load balancers, DWDMs, Wi-Fi access points, IPS, firewalls, and VPN concentrators.
• Working with management and monitoring tools for network infrastructure.
• Experience in financial institutions is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Azure Cloud Network Management:
• Configuring and managing Azure network controls (NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN & Application Gateways).
• Ensuring seamless hybrid connectivity between enterprise networks and Azure environments.
• Deploying, configuring, and managing Fortinet FortiGate firewalls (both in Azure and on-premises).
• Diagnosing and resolving network performance issues in Azure and hybrid environments.
• Utilizing Azure monitoring tools (Azure Network Watcher, Azure Monitor) to maintain network reliability.
• Strong IT operations planning and control skills.

Language Skills:

• Proficiency in English (at least B2) – both spoken and written.
