Senior Mainframe Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Mainframe Specialist to support a critical project focusing on the migration from Broadcom/CA technology tools to alternative solutions. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in working with IBM zOS and various mainframe environments. This role requires strong analytical skills, enabling the design and planning of new solutions while supporting seamless transitions during system migrations.

Main responsibilities:

• Analyzing current mainframe software usage within the bank

• Defining, assessing, and designing alternatives to current solutions

• Planning and executing migrations to new target solutions.

Key requirements:

• Knowledge & experience on working with IBM zOS (absolute must)

• Knowledge of Endevor configuration (absolute must)

• Experience in cross-platform communications

• Knowledge of mainframe and midrange scripting languages

• Knowledge of mainframe Unix System Service.

Nice-to-have:

• Knowledge / experience with CA tools such as Easytrieve, Telon, JCL Check, CA Spool, and TPX

• Knowledge of mainframe SDLC, CICD, and VSCode

• Understanding of midrange tools and their integration with mainframe systems

• Knowledge of mainframe infrastructure including transaction managers, databases, and queue systems (e.g., CICS, IMS)

• Experience from the financial sector.
