Senior IBM Mainframe Developer

PROJECT INFORMATION:

• Work model: Hybrid (3/week in Gdańsk/Gdynia/Warsaw)

• Remuneration: 150 PLN/h netto + VAT (B2B)

Introduction & Summary

We are seeking a skilled IBM Mainframe Developer for the Payment Integrations area. The ideal candidate will possess extensive programming experience in COBOL, JCL, and IMS/DB2, demonstrating a strong ability to implement planned changes and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Strong analytical and design skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Main Responsibilities

The IBM Mainframe Developer will be responsible for:

• Implementing planned changes within the Payment Integrations area.

• Collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure seamless integration.

• Developing and designing solutions using mainframe technologies.

• Maintaining existing systems and providing technical support.

• Participating in code reviews and adhering to best practices.

Key Requirements

• Strong Mainframe Programming experience with COBOL, JCL, IMS, and DB2.

• Excellent design and development skills in the mentioned technical stack.

• Intermediate experience in an Applications Development role.

• Proven ability to work within a team and adapt to a hybrid working model.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Java/Mainframe Integration (IMS, JCA).

• Familiarity with Authentication/Authorization methods using Hash functions (SHA-2) and Security Tokens.

Other Details

The position is based in Poland (Gdańsk/Gdynia/Warsaw) and follows a hybrid working model, requiring in-office attendance three days a week.
