Our client is developing a cutting-edge workshop ordering platform for the independent aftermarket. We are seeking a Senior Frontend & UI Lead who will oversee the interface end-to-end — from understanding workshop workflows to shipping production-ready code.
This role requires a focus on user experience, thinking in user journeys before components, making design decisions directly in code, and presenting rationale confidently to both technical and business stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
- Own the frontend architecture and overall user experience for the Used Parts platform.
- Translate complex workshop workflows into clear, efficient, and intuitive interfaces based on direct user needs.
- Design and ship production-grade UI, integrating design and implementation seamlessly.
- Collaborate with product, backend engineering, and business stakeholders to contribute actively to discussions.
- Use AI-assisted development workflows to enhance iteration speed and delivery output.
- Define, measure, and improve UX quality utilizing behavioral metrics.
- Facilitate cross-disciplinary decisions at the intersection of product, design, and engineering.
Key Requirements:
- Significant experience as a Senior or Lead Frontend Engineer with ownership of user experience outcomes.
- Ability to move from user problem to deployed solution without reliance on a separate design handoff process.
- Strong capability in product, design, and engineering disciplines.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools in daily workflows.
- Experience working in small, autonomous teams with collaboratively shaped strategic direction.
- Strong experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Tailwind CSS.
- Familiarity with shadcn/ui.
- Background in the automotive or vehicle industry.
- Experience in HMI or interface design for operational/workshop environments.
- Proven ability to communicate technical and design decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
